Getting Started
How do I navigate the app?
The app has a simple navigation structure. Use the top menu to access different sections: Home (main dashboard), Browse (explore all polls), and Create (make your own poll). The logo always takes you back to the home page.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required! You can browse polls, vote, and create polls anonymously. This ensures complete privacy and removes barriers to participation.
How do I get started with my first poll?
Click the 'Create Poll' button on the home page or navigate to the Create section. You'll be guided through a simple form to set up your poll question and answer options.
Is the app mobile-friendly?
Yes! The app is fully responsive and works seamlessly on all devices - smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.
Key Features
How do I create a poll?
Step 1: Look for the large blue "Create Poll" button on the main homepage, or click "Create" in the top navigation menu. Location: Center of homepage hero section or top navigation bar Step 2: Fill in your poll question in the text area at the top of the form. Keep it clear and engaging. Location: Large text input field labeled "What's your question?" Step 3: Add answer options in the "Options" section below the question. Click "Add Option" to include more choices (minimum 2 required). Location: Below the question field, you'll see option input boxes with + Add Option button Step 4: Choose a category from the dropdown menu that best matches your poll topic (Gaming, Food, Technology, etc.). Location: Category dropdown selector in the form Step 5: Set how long your poll should stay active using the duration dropdown (1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or never expires). Location: Duration selector below the category field Step 6: Click the blue "Create Poll" button at the bottom to publish your poll. Location: Bottom of the create poll form
How do I vote on polls?
Step 1: Find polls displayed as cards on the main homepage or navigate to "Browse" in the top menu to see all polls. Location: Homepage shows recent polls, Browse page shows all polls with category filters Step 2: Click anywhere on a poll card to open the voting interface. Each card shows the question and partial options. Location: Poll cards are displayed in a grid layout with question titles visible Step 3: In the voting modal, click on your preferred answer option. Options are displayed as clickable buttons. Location: Modal popup appears with the full question and all answer choices as buttons Step 4: Click the blue "Submit Vote" button at the bottom of the modal to cast your vote. Location: Bottom of the voting modal, becomes active after selecting an option Step 5: Results appear immediately showing vote percentages and counts for each option. Location: Same modal transforms to show results with percentage bars and vote counts
How do I share polls?
Step 1: Look for the "Share" button on any poll card. It appears as a share icon button in the bottom action area of each poll. Location: Bottom row of buttons on each poll card, alongside Vote and Report buttons Step 2: Click the Share button to open the sharing modal with multiple options available. Location: Modal popup appears with various sharing methods displayed Step 3: Copy the direct poll link using the "Copy Link" button, or use the social media sharing buttons for Facebook, Twitter, etc. Location: Top section of share modal shows copy link option, social buttons below Step 4: Generate a QR code for easy mobile sharing by clicking the QR code option in the modal. Location: QR code section in the share modal generates a scannable code for the poll
How do I browse and filter polls?
Step 1: Click "Browse" in the top navigation menu to access the full poll library. Location: Top navigation bar, second menu item after "Home" Step 2: Use category filter buttons at the top of the Browse page to filter by topic (Gaming, Food, Technology, Lifestyle, etc.). Location: Horizontal row of category buttons below the page title Step 3: Search for specific polls using keywords in the search bar. Location: Search input field at the top of the Browse page Step 4: Scroll down to see more polls, or click "Load More" button to display additional results. Location: Bottom of the poll grid, loads more polls when clicked
How do I get poll results via email?
Step 1: After voting on a poll, look for the "Email Results" button in the results view or poll actions. Location: Available in poll result modals or poll card action buttons Step 2: Click the Email Results button and enter your email address in the form that appears. Location: Modal popup with email input field and send button Step 3: Click "Send Results" to receive the current poll results and future updates in your inbox. Location: Send button at bottom of email form modal
Troubleshooting
I can't see any polls loading
If polls aren't loading, try refreshing the page. Check your internet connection and ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser. If the issue persists, clear your browser cache.
My vote didn't register
Duplicate votes are limited with an anonymized identifier derived from your network address — not a name, email, or device fingerprint. Each network address can typically vote once per poll. If you've already voted, you won't be able to vote again; if you haven't, try refreshing and voting again.
The poll creation form isn't working
Ensure all required fields are filled out: question, at least 2 options, and a category. Check that your question isn't too long and that each option has text. If problems persist, try using a different browser.
Share links aren't working
Copy the share link completely and ensure you're pasting the entire URL. Share links are permanent and should work immediately after creation.
Email results aren't being delivered
Check your spam folder first. Ensure you entered the correct email address. Email delivery may take a few minutes. If you still don't receive results, try requesting them again.
The app looks broken on my device
Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. Ensure you're using an up-to-date browser. The app works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Category filters aren't showing the right polls
Category filters are applied in real-time. If you don't see polls in a category, there may not be any active polls in that category currently. Try selecting 'All' to see all available polls.
